Meet the Kings
Decor Kings is owned and run by brothers Michael and Robert Efrus. Their Short Hills storefront opened in November 2024, in the community where they grew up. "We want Decor Kings to be a community hub in the place we grew up," Michael says.
Robert went to auctioneer school at 17 and started out auctioning cars, which led him into surplus merchandise and an eBay store while he studied at Rutgers. Michael started helping on weekends at 13. Over time they narrowed their focus to vintage goods and became regulars at some of New York City's best antique shows, where decorators and restaurant owners began asking them to source pieces for homes, bars and restaurants.
Today they still travel to the country's biggest antique and collector car shows, and they represent a select group of artists from New Jersey and around the world. The gallery is known for the area's widest selection of vintage signs, large and small, alongside statues, planters, teak and driftwood furniture, and art.
"Meeting people, learning what they want, and helping them source pieces that set their space apart is really rewarding," Robert says.
